Ian dury used something like this in "what a waste". . . It's the gurgling noise made when the last of the water runs down a bathroom sink plughole. Conveys almost as much meaning as a cistern flushing, but in a shorter time (smaller file size). As ever (with my stuff) no "noises off" and so ready for mixing!.
This is an effect i built intending to represent someone with weighted feet, thrown into the sea to drown. Partly from freesound effects, partly from recordings made with a zoom h1. Enjoy.
Kitchen sink faucet opening, washing a cup, closing faucet. Recorded in mono mp3 mode on a zoom h2. The recorder then created a 2-track file (and i assume both tracks are identical). Compressed and normalized to -3. 1 db in audacity. Exported in flac mode.
Empty bottle of water in a sink, recorded using a self written app on my samsung galaxy phone, converted from mpeg v4 to mp3 using online-audio-converter. Com.
Water running through a partially clogged up bathroom sink drain trap and pipe. Recorded with a zoom f6 and a cortado mkiii contact mic at 24bit, 96khz.
This is a sequence i created for my podcast. It is a male running through a crazy maze. Sounds used are breathing, running, chains, whistle, explosion, fall and a spat. I have a version with train noise in the background.
Sink faucet being opened, filling a glass with water and then being closed. Llave de agua (del lavaplatos) siendo abierta, llenando un vaso y siendo cerrada.
This second sound is a recorded sound of a bike chain, i modified it using some effects :1-normalize2-wahwah effect with-frequency = 3. 3 hz-start phase = 0-depth = 70%-resonance = 2. 5-wah frequency shift = 30%3-melt closingthe final sound gives an impression of a sound under water.
